Adobe Lightroom as it is called gives you the ability to edit photographs and make them into the perfect ones that you want. However, when it comes to the part where you save the photos, you will find that they are not saved in the traditional sense.
There is a way that involves the exportation of said photo that will then give you all the flexibility that you need to use the photographs. So, that is why you are reading this; to know how to get it all right and make sure that you can access your photos with ease.
- Select The Photos
Here you select all the photos that you want to save because when you are in adobe lightroom, you can work with multiple pictures all at once. You just click on the photograph and then press ctrl after which you will hold it down and select all the photos you need from the thumbnails (and no, not your finger).

- Select File and Export
This is the part where a dialogue box opens up and then gives you a lot of option that will help you get the part just right. It will be easy to get through this part as it is almost self guiding. You will get a part that asks you where you want to save the files and then you select the hard drive.
The good thing here is that the photos you had as originals will remain. The software will just edit copies of the original so that even if you mess up, you still have the original files.
- Choose The Save File
Here, you will choose a folder where you want the photos to be saved in. that way, you will be allowed to proceed and when you will finish, you can know exactly where to find the photos that you edit. Also, you may pick the option of save later where you will choose a folder after you are done editing.
- You Can Name and Change The File Type
This is all found in the dialogue box that will open up right while you are figuring out how to save the photos. The folder can be named to a different name that you will be able to recall once you are done editing.
Changing the file type simply means choosing a format that you are comfortable with. After that, you can then go on ahead to know what kind of photos you want between JPEG, PSD, TIFF or DNG.
- Fill in the Other Forms

The dialogue box is huge and will include other boxes that allow you to do the following before you can say that you are done. These will include:
- Video which allows you to specify the video format
- Metadata that allows you to specify the photo tags
- Post-processing to allow for more editing after you are done
- Output sharpening for improving the image quality on paper
- Image sizing for changing the image sizes and all that.
In Conclusion
After you have filled all that, you can now click on the export button to finish and everything is all systems go.
