The Steps

1. The Foundation

The foundation is where the building will be rooted and it has to be very forma to hold the entire thing in place. You need a foundation that is well placed and on firm ground. When it comes to the barn, it is easy to start.

Level the ground and then put in deck piers to support the shed. You can build the barn to be above the ground supported by beams going into the ground or the foundation and floor can be entrenched into the ground.

2. The Floor

When you have a good foundation, it will not be too hard to build a floor. Here, you can use wood to build the floor. With a level foundation, it will involve placing the timber across the beams of the foundation and just nail them in.

Here, you need to make sure that the floor is strong enough to hold weight and pressure that has been applied on it.

3. The Walls

These will be built by erecting a framework first that will help hold the planks of wood that are going to be the walls. You will just have the framework spaced apart with equal spaces. After that, you can then start with the rest of the sides.

One side should be built to specifications to leave a door frame where you will mount the door. These sides should be spaced properly too to make sure the door is not lopsided.

4. Fill in The Framework

After you are done with the framework, you will now go to the next level which will entail filling in the frame work with the covering to complete the walls. At this point, you will probably want to build the rafters first and then that way, you can measure where the walls end.

5. The Roof

After you are done with the walls, you can now get to the next part where you put up the roof and then the walls. When you use plywood to cover the rafters, it creates a space between that and the roof to regulate the temperatures in the barn.

You can then put some tar on the roof and you are good to go.
